The Public Policy Committee has prepared two checklists to engage with ISPE members on horizon planning for the Society.
Emerging Issue
Definition: An emerging issue is a topic or subtopic of relevance to pharmacoepidemiology that is new OR which requires significant further development, definition, support (e.g., infrastructure), guidance or best practices to advance its' appropriate application, uptake and impact (methodological or otherwise).
(Guidance for submitters: You must answer "Yes" to all 3 questions below for the issue/topic to be recommended as an ISPE Emerging Issue).

Advocacy Issue
Definition: An advocacy issue is one which warrants ISPE consideration for advocacy due to its alignment with ISPE mission and goals, AND the fact that it is actionable or otherwise can be influenced by advocacy on ISPE's part.
(Guidance for submitters: You must answer "Yes" to all 3 questions below for the issue/topic to be recommended as an ISPE Advocacy Issue).
