Databases for Pharmacoepidemiological Research SIG

Mission Statement

To provide the Pharmacoepidemiology community a forum to share expertise on the use and applications of Real-World electronic healthcare databases (e.g. medical claims, electronic health records, registries, surveys and other cross-sectional and longitudinal linked databases).

Objectives

  • To discuss, develop and improve methods and approaches in the science of pharmacoepidemiology database research, and disseminate the results.
  • To create and encourage the use of guidelines for database studies to increase transparency and quality.
  • To educate ISPE members and stakeholders on the strengths and limitations of database research and the availability of resources.
